A beautifully shot short film, Alice and the White Hair, has just came out, and it’s definitely a must-see. The plot hinges on the probably 100% true theory that our beloved Alice in Wonderland was borne of your run-of-the-mill psychotropic trip. Alice and the White Hair portrays Alice (the beautiful Jayme Langford)  as a hooker with feller hooker and  Dinah (the captivating Tracy Viera), and follows the them on a wild ride through the city in one sweet car, taking LED drugs and appearing to be on their way to one of the ol’ Space Island parties.

They get separated, Alice ends up chained in a basement and goes through her various states of rabbit holes to find herself playing Russian Roulette with the Queen. We won’t say how it ends, but this is definitely a film you’ll want to watch multiple times.

Alice and the White Hair is a drug film unlike most – while Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Go, and Requiem for a Dream all let you watch the effects of chemical enhancements from a safe distance, Alice and the White Hair goes ahead and hands you the pill and takes you through all the stunning visuals, breath-taking highs, abysmal lows, and hollow confusion of your drug of choice. It’s a gritty, raw journey into the heart of Alice’s harrowing psychotropic/chemical drug trip – as you watch, you can feel the holes being gnawed away in your brain.

The entire cast is so captivating to watch that you’ll wish the film was feature-length so you could stay with these characters a little longer and really get to know their worlds. Writer and director Wyatt Denny has created a world at once so ethereally gorgeous and crushingly tragic that it will sweep you away into the trip.
