Today in LA the buzz is … well, at least my buzz is how much I love El Pollo Loco, and (says corporate headquarters) there are 30-35 stores just in L.A. to get in on some of this lovin’.
Especially in comparison to its competitors (Koo Koo Roo, California Chicken Cafe), El Poll (pronounced “el-poy” in its LA-style abbreviation) blows everyone else outta the water in terms of flavor and price. Coming in at just under $8 you can get a deliciously flame grilled chicken breast (and a wing) with two sides, let’s say Spanish rice and a garden salad, with 2 tortillas and a drink … can we say a deal? Healthy, cheap and great for lunch or dinner (especially after a great workout) … yummy.
