This Wednesday night Lady Gaga will show her love for her devoted fans with a Born this Way Release Party at the Belasco Theater at 1050 S. Hill Street. Fans will be able to gain admittance by showing a valid proof of purchase of Born This Way or by purchasing the album at the door. Guests will find themselves in a fully themed environment inspired by Born This Way that will include a Gilt City VIP lounge, where specialty Belvedere cocktails will be provided by Interscope, guest DJs and an interactive Polaroid Grey Label experience. Also TODAY ONLY Lady Gaga’s Born this Way album was just released on Amazon for 99 cents!
GAGA’S AFFINITY FOR DTLA? This party looks like it is going to be off the hook DTLA style. While West Hollywood is Gaga-central on given night in any given club, it seems Gaga has an affinity for DTLA since it was where she chose to celebrate her birthday this year (La Cita) and is also the location for her album release party (Belasco Theater). The Belasco Theater is one of the newest historic buildings turned into a venue and I’ve been dying to go there since they opened back in March. This relic of the early 1900s was fully renovated this year and celebrated its opening with a special performance featuring Deadmau5.

She didn’t make an appearance. Sad to say..We would all think she would be there because there were lots of security behind stage as if she was going to make an appearance or a quick hello and thank yous since she was in town for American Idol. Apparently she had Good Morning America this morning and she even flaked on another party in her hotel. Good night’s rest maybe? We’d like to think so..But the DJs were even hinting to us she would be there so most of the party stood near the stage in hopes to get a glimpse of the “Born This Way” beauty even foregoing their urges to get more drinks. A straight answer would have sufficed enough,but even the security guards and DJ’s looked confused at some point. But overall, The Gaga Haus Party was a sight to see. Sad, though, to see how everyone left after knowing Gaga didn’t make a show. It seemed like we just witnessed a loss to a Laker game at Staples- Happy! But, not as happy as we should have been…
